Very sad news

Dear Members,

We are very sad to tell you that our President, Howard Willis, an important and cherished member of the club, passed away, unexpectedly, on Thursday.

Many of you will remember Howard from his roles of presenting the Club’s awards and medals, and officiating at Club events; he had been involved with the Club for many years in different ways. Most recently he was an active and engaged member of the Committee, an invaluable source of experience, always on hand with helpful and/or amusing tales of Bushey ASC past and always measured in his approach to tricky issues. We shall miss him immensely. 

We have expressed our sympathies and sadness to his wife, Jane, and his family, who are also long-standing members and supporters of the Club, and we send them all our love too. 

We shall have a minute of silence at training on Sunday to remember Howard and we shall hold Club Champs Three in his honour. in a few weeks’ time.  

Howard was looking forward to celebrating the Centenary with all of us, and we shall not forget him next year, either.
